Music Video is Complete

 Our music video is finally complete! After stressing out for nearly three weeks over a 1 minute video, we can finally relax. Honestly, I didn't mind working with my group out of school. It was actually really fun. Yet stressful at the same time. We were delayed on filming originally because of personal reasons, I was kinda stress that we weren't gonna make it. Filming in public wasn't as weird as I thought it was. Actually it felt more of a hang out besides some scenes. The scene with them playing switch was awful to film. I hope we did everything right. Hopefully we pass with a good grade.

 

Production blog : Editing

 Todays blog is about editing. I'm not going to be the one editing. I still have a decent idea on what needs to be done. 

For starters, like I said in the last blog, the first scene was hard to film. We had filmed multiple scenes. We will have to go through the multiple takes and choose which one is best. I think probably the last will be the best. We put a lot of character into it. Plus I finally got Rose to stop running in front of me. 

The next I think will be cut down. It's a clip of us all talking and laughing. I had supposedly showed them something on my phone which actually was just my lock screen. I don't know why but we had to do different takes of such a simple scene. The takes also came out very long. 

The Nintendo switch scene is defiantly getting cut down or sped up for how long it is. At the same time, I don't think we should speed the scene up since it's supposed to be sad. 

I think for the next scene, the walking scene, we had discussed speeding it up before we filmed it. I think we're still doing that.

For the bleachers scene I honestly have no clue. Maybe slow it down since it's the ending. The scene is supposed to show my character being completely alone now anyways. 

I know for sure that for all of them we will have to take out the original sound and add in our song. 

Hopefully we get a good grade. 

     

Production Blog: Park is kinda fun

 Today, all four of us revisited the park. We decided to film most of our scenes in this bench over hang area. Filming was honestly a lot of fun. 

We started with a scene of me introducing Rose's character to Zahra's and mine being happy that they are not friends. It was hard doing the running scene since I was supposed to be almost dragging her but she kept running on her own. 

The next one was all of us just hanging out. It showed us all getting along and laughing with one another. For some reason we were talking about teeth.

Then was the scene with my Nintendo switch. It was literally only on 5% so we had to change the angle we were going to put it in. It was kinda hard to do it at first because it was so fast pace and kind of funny to me. It took a view tries to get right.

Next was the walking scene. We actually only removed our belongings and self from the bench at first because of the biggest iguana running at us. The walking scene was hard to do since I kept laughing at Rose's and Zahra's conversations. I literally had to tell them to change what they were talking about because it was making me laugh too much. At this point was when I started getting tired, which was good for my character. I think it was the sun. 

Finally we did the bleachers scene. I had walk behind Zahra and Rose to show how I got left out. My character doesn't join them on the same bleacher row. Where they sat in the second highest seat for the bleachers, I sat on the first one with a book to show how I'm not focusing on them. I made sure to make my character seem tired at this point to show how they gave up trying to win their friend over. After that we all decided to go home since it was getting late. 

Hopefully our grade is good. 

Production Blog: Park sadness

 Today, me, Vanessa and Rose went to the park after school. Unfortunately, Zahra could not attend with us. Even so we were ready to film. 

We had arrived at the park and were anticipating how we were going to feel filming in public for the first time. However that never happened for the playground was close.

We began thinking about what we could do instead but only found failure. It had came to our realization that our lack of a 4th member made it impossible to film anything. All of our scenes involve a 3 person group which we could had technically done. Even so without Zahra, we wouldn't have a camera person to film us. 

So we decided to just throw in the towel and go get something to snack on. Originally, we planned on dairy queen for some ice-cream however we ended up going to the gas station. On our way we were talking about how we want our next assignment to be in the woods.   

Vanessa ended up being picked up before we arrived. So it ended up just being me and Rose at the gas station. 

We'll go back and film when we're all together tomorrow.  

I know that we're planning on filming at the mall later this week!!! Hopefully it's fun.

Hopefully our project comes out good. Hopefully we get a good grade. Hopefully we pass.

  

Production Blog: The rain

 Today was supposed to be our first day of filming for our music video. We were planning on getting at least a good amount of filming completed. Sadly, Florida's weather did a full 180. The sun no longer shined. Instead cold rough rain fell from the sky and destroyed our plans! It was so cruel for the world to do that to us. 

Even though we were divested, we did not allow that to make us give up. Even though, we're stressed and panicking. We picked ourselves up.

Tomorrow, we're going to start filming at the park. We're even going to be having ice cream together in the video. We're going to film the scenes of the friends hanging out at the swings or at another playing equipment if the park does not provide swings. There's also a chance we will film a scene involving sharing ice cream or eating ice cream which is why I said we're going to have ice cream together. 

I'm so excited to start officially filming tomorrow. It will be my first time hanging out with Rose, Zahra and Vanessa outside of school. I hope we are able to have clear focus. I also hope that there aren't much people around, I feel embarrassed filming in public. 

I have faith in the group. We will get through this. We will get not only a passing grade but also a great one.
